HeartSong Christian Fellowship

A New Fellowship in Gadsden Alabama

OUR STYLE

If you are content with superficiality there are plenty of other places you can go. However, if you are hungry for more of God this may be the place, and the people, that you've been looking for.

Perhaps you desire meaningful relationships with other believers who want more, and are willing to give more, than casual pleasantries. You can find them here.

We think church should be so much more than a group of people, who are essentially casual acquaintances or virtual strangers, who gather  together two or three times a week for a sermon, a few songs, and  prayers.

Church should be more like a loving, nurturing family that passionately loves God and demonstrates that love by caring for His people and His creation.  It should also be fun, enjoyable, dynamic, and relevant.  We want to live, laugh, and love more as a church family.

We hope that you will take the time to get to know us.  Browse our pages and learn about us, and if you are intrigued and want to experience more, come out and join us for a time of joyful celebration, where the focus is on God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, His Word, and Christian fellowship.

 Our Style...what to expect...

We're casual:  Casual can mean different things to different people.  Casual is whatever you are most comfortable in, as long as it is decent.  You will probably see more blue jeans and sneakers than suits; but if you want to dress up for God by putting on your finest attire when coming to our place of worship, that is okay too.

Casual also means we're willing to forgo some of the formality, pretense, and non-sense that sometimes gets in the way of authenticity, transparency, and genuine fellowship.  We want you to be comfortable and feel free to be yourself.

We're liberated

We believe that every born-again child of God has the Holy Spirit within. Therefore, when we gather for worship, every believer { men, women, children, young, and old } can participate in the worship service, as the Holy Spirit leads. Everything should be done in an orderly manner, however, as the Bible teaches.

Jesus tells us that if we continue in His Word, we will truly be His disciples, and we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free (John 8:31-32).

Freedom in Christ is awesome.  Freedom means that we are free from the curse of the law.  Freedom also means that we are free from traditions, and free to start new traditions that are relevant for today.

Freedom means that the emphasis in church is on a growing relationship with Jesus, as Savior and Lord, not on a bunch of "do's and don'ts".

However, freedom does not mean "license" to do anything we want to do.

We’re relational: Relationships are the primary means through which God communicates his love and grace.  What we do and how we do it should exist in the context of healthy and growing relationships.  People take priority over programs.

At  Heartsong  we believe that every individual is important to God and ,therefore, should be important to us.  We will never allow  guards and locked doors to put distance between us and the people  whom we are called to serve. Futhermore, no one can reach his full potential without the support of others.

We’re committed: We believe life is lived best with the progressive revelation of God’s excellent character in us.  We define greatness in terms of how much we allow God to be recognized and revealed in us and through us.  We value commitment to excellence, in all we do, because we feel this inspires others, and it reflects the nature of God.

We're passionate: We love God, because He first loved us. Our love, devotion, and passionate worship are a testament of how much God has forgiven us.  We offer thanksgiving, worship, and devotion to God to show Him how grateful we are that He is our God, and we are His people.

We're intentional:  We have vision, mission, and purpose...we have a master plan and a strategy.  We are intentional in everything we do, so that we can arrive at our pre-determined destination, as planned and according to schedule.  We prefer quality over quantity.  We are systematic, methodical, and progressive.  We intend on winning in life, because we intend on following the prescription and formula that God has given us.
